Mia stars in DET Advert

Grade 4 student, Mia, is appearing in an advert for the Department of Education (DET).

She had to audition earlier in the year where she was asked to present and answer some questions about her favourite teacher (Ms Williams).

The DET reached out to Principal Steve Meade and Ms Williams who confirmed that Mia is a respectful student who upholds the Department and school's values.

The advert went live recently - have a look! Mia is the 5th child in the dark red polo top.

Inter-Schools Chess Championship

Both Aiden from Grade 3 and Max from Grade 1 represented BPS in the inter schools chess championship.

The boys did incredibly well posting 7 points, both winning multiple games and coming equal 13th against teams of 5+ students from each school. Given they were a team of 2 with a total of 96 participants, they did incredibly well representing BPS. 

Honorable mention to Aiden who won 4/7 of his games which meant he was in the top 10 individuals for the day.
