GWR SENIOR BASKETBALL

On Thursday 14th August our senior boys travelled to Ballarat to compete in the Greater western Region Basketball finals. 

Results were:

Mortlake 13 lost to Ballarat High 41

Mortlake 25 lost to Trinity College 27

Mortlake 25 Lost to Mercy 42

All the boys competed really well led by our School Captain Jack Fowler. 

YEAR 5/6 ROOKIES BASKETBALL

On Friday 15th August, our Year 5 and 6 students travelled to Terang to take part in the Rookies Basketball Competition. The day was full of excitement, energy, and plenty of teamwork as our students competed against schools from across the district.

Our players demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, determination, and support for one another throughout the day. It was fantastic to see everyone giving their best effort and showing great school spirit on and off the court.

A big thank you to the staff, parents, and volunteers who assisted with umpiring and supervision, and to the organisers of the event for making it such an enjoyable experience for all involved.

Well done to all of our students—you should be very proud of your efforts!
