Principal's Message to the School Community

Dear KPS Community,
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of joining our Year 6 students for two days of their Melbourne Urban Camp adventure. What a terrific experience it was!
During my time with the group, I was able to share in their excitement as they enjoyed a wide range of activities — from ice skating and arcade games to exploring the Aquarium, ACMI, and the iconic MCG. Each venue offered something unique, and it was wonderful to see our students engaging enthusiastically, asking great questions, and representing Kyneton Primary School with pride.
What made me most proud, though, were the comments we received from staff at each location. Without exception, they praised our students for their excellent manners, respectful behaviour, and friendly, positive attitudes.
It’s always a joy to see our students shine beyond the school gates and embody our school values in the wider community.
A huge thank you to the staff who planned and supervised the camp — and congratulations to our Year 6s for making it such a memorable experience for everyone involved!
Kind regards,
Alistair Rayner
Principal
