CSEF applications

Important information and application process

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) is a payment administered by the department to schools for the purpose of paying costs of camps, sport and excursions for eligible students.

CSEF provides payments for eligible students to attend activities like:

  • school camps or trips
  • swimming and school-organised sports programs
  • outdoor education programs
  • excursions and incursions

Who can apply?

If you applied for CSEF through our school last year, you do not need to complete an application form this year, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances.

Below are the criteria used to determine a student’s eligibility for the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF).

Eligibility Date

Please apply before the 25th June 2025.

For concession card holders, CSEF eligibility will be subject to the parent/legal guardian’s concession card being successfully validated with Centrelink

(see Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) ):

Please ensure a copy of your means-tested card is attached to the application.

If there is shared custody

The CSEF system only allows one application per student. Where there are parents/carers in shared custody situations (who both hold a concession card) the parent/carer who submits the eligible card first will be the parent/carer who is to receive the payment.
