Maramba has had a whirlwind and exciting start to the 2026 school year in sport!

Students have already been actively involved in our Maramba Cup 3v3 Lunchtime Basketball Competition, which has been fantastic to see, with strong participation, teamwork and sportsmanship displayed across all year levels.

We were also fortunate to host aTennis Clinic run by Jess from We Are Tennis Fountain Gate Tennis Club. Students had a wonderful time developing their skills and confidence. Jess has kindly offered a free first lesson for any Maramba student who is interested in continuing tennis. Please see the information on the Community Page for details. We are also very excited to be exploring the addition of Tennis as an Academy sport in 2026.

Adding to the excitement, we welcomed visiting players from the AFL Melbourne Demons Football Club, who inspired students and shared their knowledge and passion for football.

On the AFL front, we are offering a free Come and Try AFL Football Clinic for girls aged 5–11 years. The clinic will be held on Monday 16th March from 3:30pm – 4:30pm. Families can register using the following link:https://www.playhq.com/afl/register/499544 Please see the flyer on the Community Page for further details. This is a fantastic opportunity for girls to get involved in AFL in a fun and supportive environment.

Next Friday, we also have students representing Maramba at the District SwimmingCarnival. We wish all participating students the very best of luck and are proud of their efforts in representing our school.

We look forward to another exciting year of sport at Maramba!
