I hope the summer holidays provided you with a well-deserved opportunity to relax, recharge and enjoy special time with family and friends.

We have had a very smooth and positive start to the 2026 school year. Despite the ongoing building works around us, it was wonderful to see our happy students and their families walking through the school gates on the first day.

A warm welcome is also extended to all new students and families joining our school this year. We are delighted to have you as part of our school community.

Over the past few weeks, I have enjoyed visiting classrooms and spending time with our students. The learning environment has been calm and focused and our CSPS Start Up Program has given teachers valuable time to create welcoming spaces and establish important routines. I would like to sincerely thank our dedicated teachers for their efforts in ensuring such a positive beginning to the year.

I look forward to working in partnership with you all to make the 2026 school year a successful and rewarding one.

Swimming

Congratulations to our Year 3 and 5 students on successfully completing their intensive one-week swimming program at GESAC. The program ran seamlessly and we are extremely proud of the way our students represented our school.

A sincere thank you to our staff for their dedication and support and special thanks to Mr. Wink for his excellent organisation in ensuring such a positive experience for all involved.

Our Year 4 and 6 students will participate in the swimming program next week.

Assembly

On Wednesday 4th February, we held a special whole-school assembly to proudly present our 2026 student leaders with their badges. The occasion was made even more meaningful with the attendance of our past leaders, who kindly assisted with the presentations and shared in celebrating this important milestone. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise leadership, responsibility and school spirit within our community. Please see the photos below.

Student Safety

As we begin the new school year, we would like to remind parents and students about the importance of safe parking and school crossings around our busy school.

Glen Eira Council has produced a short animated video that offers helpful information about parking signs, how the school crossing operates and ways to stay safe around schools. This engaging 2.5-minute video also encourages students to walk or ride to school - even if it’s just from a few blocks away - to help reduce traffic congestion, promote healthy habits and support the environment.
