NDIS Updates:
Thriving Kids update - I know the announcement of the 'Thriving Kids' program has come with some uncertainty and concern for some families. In the update, we were told that it is scheduled to start the first phase of implementation in October this year. This will have no effect on how children can access the NDIS currently. Children with developmental delays or autism with high support needs, will continue to be eligible for the NDIS.
Inclusive Employment Online Hub - Swinburne Uni has teamed up with the Department of Social Services to develop some tools & information to support people with disabilities, their families and employers about disability and employment. You can access this site below:
CAREERS EXPO: SENIOR SECONDARY STUDENTS & FAMILIES
Very soon (in two weeks time!) will be our 2026 Careers Expo!
We have a number of post-school providers lined up to attend and be available to answer any of your questions, it should be a great night!
- Families with students graduating this and next year, if you've not received one already, your child will have been sent home with an Info Pack for you this afternoon.
- This resource is to help you prepare which stalls you might like to put on your 'must see' list, as well as a gentle introduction into the next steps for your child preparing to graduate, with a checklist of essentials.
Expo Details:
Date: 18th March 2026
Time: 3:45pm - 6:30pm
