Religious Education

Last Wednesday our school marked Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.

Students in Years 4–6 attended Mass at St Mary’s Church, while Years 1–3 participated in a liturgy in the Multi.  At both gatherings, students learned about the meaning of the ashes and the three focuses of Lent: prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

The distribution of ashes reminded us that Lent is a time to reflect on our choices, reset where needed and try to live more thoughtfully in our relationships with God and with others.

Thank you to the families who were able to attend. We appreciate your support and your presence as we begin this important season together as a faith community.

A reminder that each classroom has a Project Compassion donation box, with additional boxes at the office. Families can also donate online via the QR code shared previously. Thank you for your continued support.
