Intergenerational Visit
I know that I have spoken about this before, but it deserves a mention again! The intergenerational visits are such an incredible opportunity for both our students and our visitors.
The Year 5/6 students hosted the visit last week and showed such engagement, kindness and sense of community as they chatted delightfully for the entire session. Students asked about the visitors’ lives when they were young, including their first jobs, sports and hobbies they had or still have, and what they were like at school. Heather, whose favourite excursion ever is coming to Taradale, delighted in sharing that she was, and still is, a hooligan!
Students made tea and coffee, drew pictures and chatted away. The visitors are always so impressed by our students and can’t wait to come back each time.
