Principal's Update

Hello everyone,
This is the last newsletter of the term. Term 2 finishes on Friday 26 June at 2:00pm. Term 3 commences on Monday 13 July.
It has been a great term and we want to thank families for their continued engagement and support of our wonderful school.
Teachers have completed Semester One reports, which are now available to read on Compass. We will be holding parent teacher interviews on Monday 22 June and Tuesday 23 June if you would like to book a time to chat with your child’s teacher.
I want to acknowledge the effort and care the staff put into the reports. Despite many late nights and a few days of wet day timetables, they still remarked on how much they enjoyed writing the reports and sharing all of the wonderful things the students have achieved this semester.
Plans are well and truly underway for the Taradale Workshop! We have cleaned out the space, mostly, and will be meeting with interested families on Tuesday to set the next steps in motion. We will be installing benches, purchasing new tools, installing lighting and getting the space ready for students to use for building, creating and making during hands-on learning.
We also have a bare-rooted tree fundraiser happening at the moment. It has been really popular so far and there is a great variety of trees available to purchase at a very reasonable price. If you are thinking about stocking up on some trees for spring, then this is the way to do it. The school receives a percentage of each sale, which we can put towards funding additional works around the school. To order, follow this link - tinyurl.com/TaradaleTrees
Also, Taradale beanies are finally back in stock and will be available for purchase from next week.
We hope you all have wonderful term break.
Jess and Chris
