Good Afternoon Parents Students, Staff and Friends of Derinya,  

Time is flying by with all of the exciting events that round off the year in our near future.  

Year 3 Camp  

Last week our Year 3’s had a fantastic time at Lord Somers Camp. It was a day full of adventure with team building, resilience and problem solving being just some of the great learning occurring on the day. The teachers were so proud of the students and what they achieved through this wonderful experience. Thank you to the staff and parent helpers for their contributions.  

Prep Celebration Day  

Many thanks to our Prep Team for organising a fantastic end of year celebration for the students. With the jumping castle, disco and Charlie Silly Pants all making for a wonderful event to round off a very successful year for our youngest students.  

Beach Days 

We have had fabulous weather for our beach days this week. This has been another example of a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year alongside developing important water safety skills.  

Remembrance Day  

Many thanks also to our school leaders who attended the Remembrance Day ceremony at Beauty Park and the Vasey RSL.  

Christmas Breakfast  

Our Christmas breakfast is fast approaching. The Salvation Army have requested that families please consider donating a gift that is for a child of the same age as yours. A reminder that this is to be held on Friday 6th December and is a beautiful way to bring our community together to celebrate another successful year.
