Well done and thank you to all the staff and students who partipated in our Sports Colours Day on the last day of Term 3. We raised $490.00 for the RSPCA, a wonderful, caring organisation that Ms Sue (our past cleaner) would be so proud of.

On Friday 11th September, the Grade 4 cohort went on an exciting excursion to Scienceworks! We went to Scienceworks because it connected to our Term 3 Inquiry topic - Science and Forces.
When we arrived, Owen, our instructor, explained how roller coasters worked and how they are designed. We worked in groups to build our own roller coasters using materials such as rubber tracks, chairs, tape, detachable loops, balls and blocks. We had to test our designs and think about how forces could affect the movement of the roller coaster. We then explored some of the main areas of Scienceworks, including the Sportsworks, Think Ahead and Beyond Perception exhibitions.
Tiana 4C: “My favourite part was the Think Ahead exhibition because there was a room where you could change the mood and lighting of the room. It was interesting to see how the environment could change how you felt.”
Zoe 4B: “I really liked the Beyond Perception exhibition because it was calming and there was a cool room with different galaxies. I also liked looking at the blizzard box and controlling how it moves. It was amazing!”
Youssef 4A: “The Sportsworks exhibition was my favourite because we got to race Cathy Freeman! We also got to test our grip strength, jump height and basketball skills.”
We would like to thank the Grade 4 teachers and Ms Fionn for attending the excursion with us and helping make it such a memorable day.
Thank you!Written by Tiana 4C, Zoe 4B and Youssef 4A

The Year 5 & 6s have been working on a ukulele unit and have been playing the uke as a class and as small groups to bring good vibes and high energy alive.
Our plants in the environmental area are blooming more than ever due to the sweet sound of the ukelele strumming.
