As we head into the spring holidays, it is a valuable opportunity to reflect on student attendance and look ahead to finishing the year strongly together.

Our school attendance target is 92%. While we are currently below this target, Term 4 provides every student with an opportunity to improve.
Attendance is not about achieving a perfect number—it is about maximising the time students spend connected to their learning, teachers, peers and school opportunities. Every additional lesson makes a difference.
Regular attendance helps students stay on top of their learning and assessment, develop positive routines, build strong relationships and feel connected to the school community.
Looking Ahead to Term 4
Small improvements matter. Attending one additional day, reducing late starts, being present for every lesson, returning promptly following illness and rebuilding a consistent routine can all make a meaningful difference.
Families can support regular attendance by:
- Maintaining consistent morning and evening routines.
- Scheduling appointments outside school hours where possible.
- Monitoring patterns of absence or lateness.
Explaining student absences promptly.
If attendance is becoming challenging, we encourage families to contact the Engagement Heads of Department early. By working together, we can better understand any barriers and put practical support in place.
Our goal is simple: more students at school, more often.
