Auditions

Audition information for Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is now available on MazCom. Auditions are open to ALL students across ALL year levels.  We encourage everyone to try out.

A draft rehearsal schedule for 2024 is also available.  Students will be required to attend all rehearsals (where practical) especially the rehearsals in week 2 of the holidays.  If your son is interested in auditioning, he will need to register on the link provided in the newsfeed.

Catholic Principals’ Mass @ St Patricks Cathedral

A reminder that Mazenod College will be providing music at the upcoming Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Principals’ Mass on Thursday 23rd November.  This is a great opportunity for the College and in particular, the students. Transport will be provided to and from Mazenod.  An excursion request has been sent to the parents of involved students and we would appreciate your earliest response when you receive the request.

Junior Gala

Our Junior Gala is being held on Tuesday, 28th November in the Provence Centre.    This is our last event for the year and will give all our junior music students an opportunity to showcase their musical talents.  Groups performing will be:

An excursion request has been sent to the parents of involved students and we would appreciate your earliest response when you receive the request.  Family and friends are welcome to attend this free concert.

AMEB Exams

AMEB results are now available – all Teachers have been given reports and these will be discussed and given to students at their lesson.

End of Year Transition

As we approach the end of the school year, please remind your son to bring his instrument home with him after his last lesson.  Instrumental lessons will continue to run throughout the transition timetable.

Ensembles and Orchestras 

Ensembles and Orchestras are back rehearsing.  Remember to check the timetable for days and times. 

Please arrive promptly to the rehearsals. If you are not sure what ensemble you are in, please speak to your Instrumental Music Teacher.

Term 4 timetables have been uploaded to MazCom.  Please make sure your son checks MazCom on a regular basis so that they are following the most recent timetable.
