On Friday 18 September, we will be celebrating Footy Colours Day in support of the Fight Cancer Foundation.
Students are invited to come to school dressed in their favourite footy colours or sporting code and can also order a special Footy Day Lunch to enjoy on the day.
Footy Colours Day is all about raising much-needed funds to support children and young people with cancer, helping them continue their education while undergoing treatment.
Footy Day lunch orders can be placed here. Order Footy Day Lunch Orders must be placed online, and orders will close on Monday 14th September.
Our school fundraising goal is $1,000 - let's see if we can do it!
Donations can be made online via: Donate to Our Footy Colours Day Fundraiser
Alternatively, students can bring a gold coin donation to school on the day.
We can't wait to see Old Orchard dressed in a sea of team colours while raising funds for such an important cause!

Our feathered friends are looking for some holiday helpers!
During the upcoming school holidays, we are seeking families who would be willing to help care for our school chickens. The daily chores are simple and include:
- Checking that the chickens have plenty of food and fresh water
- Bringing along some green scraps from home for them to enjoy
- Clearing out the nesting boxes
- Collecting any eggs laid (which you are welcome to take home and enjoy!)
This is a wonderful opportunity for children to spend some time with our school chickens and learn about caring for animals.
If your family is able to help, please email sheree.knight@education.vic.gov.au
