Father's Day

I hope all the 'father figures' in our community had a wonderful day being celebrated on Sunday 6 September. Hopefully, our little cherubs were able to keep their gifts from the Father's Day Staff a secret to the day and didn't give their gifts as soon as they purchased them! I hope you all cherished the moment and snuck in a couple of extra hugs as time goes quickly and our little ones grow up very quickly.

Positive male role models play an important part in a child's development especially when they demonstrate emotional openness, respect and empathy. Healthy male role models listen well, admit mistakes and express vulnerability without shame. They treat everyone with respect. Positive male role models prioritise their mental and physical well-being so they can better support and nurture their families. Having a strong figure for support and guidance increases our ability to form trusting relationships and builds our capacity to interact positively with others.

While I didn't have a father growing up, I consider myself very lucky to have had the influence of a fantastic grandfather and two wonderful uncles. I clearly remember my grandfather holding the back of my bike seat as I learnt to ride without training wheels. I went on holidays with one of my uncles and his family and the other uncle taught me to drive. They all taught me so much and showed me love which helped shape me into the person I am today. I remained extremely close to them all until the time of their passing.

Father's Day Stall

A HUGE thanks to everyone who assisted with our Father's Day Stall. Their was a high level of excitement from the students when they were purchasing their gifts and I hope their excitment gave you a little boost!

Requests for Conversations

Schools are busy places. While we love chatting to our families, it is not always possible to see a member of the Leadership Team immediately. Please contact the office to make an appointment so we can make a suitable time to meet you. Hurried conversations as we are on our way to classes or meetings do not always provide enough time for conversations to be anything less than rushed.

Will you be at LEPS in 2027?

Late term 3 and early term 4 are when we start to lock in our plans for class structures for the following year. It is also the time where we look at the composition of individual classes to ensure a balance of academic and behavioural factors and friendship requests.

Please let us know if your child will be at LEPS in 2027 or if you are moving location. This infomation really helps us to ensure we can create the best groupings we can to ensure improved student learning.

Send us an email or let our amazing office team know if your child will not be at LEPS in 2027 by 23 October to assist us with our planning.

Parent/Carers Survey

We invited 80 families to complete the 2026 Parents/Carers/Guardians Survey letting us know the things they are happy with about our school and the things they think we can improve. 

So far, only 41 families have completed the survey. We would love a few more responses so we can gather an accurate snapshot of our performance.

The survey closes on Friday 18 September, the last day of term 3.
