Leadership Camp Alumni Visit

Our annual Leadership Camp was held recently at Log Cabin Lodge in Creswick, bringing together Year 11 students aspiring to become Year 12 leaders in 2027. Throughout the camp, students have been working on projects to make a positive impact at Ballarat High School and improve our school community.

Alumnus Max Tomich (Class of 2017), Director of Aussie Buckets, shared his leadership journey from Ballarat High student to successful business owner. Max spoke candidly about earning respect as a young leader, learning from failure, pushing through challenges and the importance of creating connection, trust and belonging within a team.

Max encouraged students to give everything they have to the opportunities in front of them, reminding them that hard work, resilience and backing yourself can open incredible doors. Students were inspired by his story and motivated to think about the kind of leaders they want to become within our diverse school community.

We thank Max for his time and willingness to give back.
