Our Mother’s Day celebrations were a wonderful highlight for this week. The Mother’s Day breakfast was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed, while the ELC celebrations were lovely with so many families celebrating together. The Mother's Day stall was a very popular and a great success. The girls came back with a range of purchases to give to their mums, I just hope the chocolates do not get eaten before Sunday! Thank you to everyone who contributed to making these events so special.
We are also extremely proud of our students’ sporting achievements. Once again, we won the Population Trophy at the SSV Armadale District Cross Country, an outstanding result that reflects the determination and commitment of our runners. Congratulations to Bianca in Year 4, Charlotte and Anja in Year 5, and Chloe in Year 6, who have all qualified for the Beachside Division Championships. A tremendous effort by all of these athletes.
Our Prep to Year 2 students recently enjoyed a music excursion to perform at Ruyton School. This was a wonderful experience for the girls, who sang beautifully in front of students from Ruyton School, Trinity Grammar and St Margaret’s from Berwick. It was a fantastic opportunity to perform in front of a wider audience and showcase their musical learning outside of the St Catherine's community.
As I am writing this, preparations are well underway for our House Athletics events, and we are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather on the day. An update from our Junior School Sports Coordinator, Mr McMahon, will be available in the next Blue Ribbon.
Finally, we wish all mothers and their families a very happy Mother’s Day this Sunday and hope it is filled with joy and celebration.
