Year 10 Deakin Immersion Day

On Friday 1st May, Year 10 students travelled Warrnambool’s Deakin University for the annual Immersion day. Over 210 students from around the region were involved with the focus on exploring possible courses and experiencing what a typical University day looks like. 

VCE Physical Education

VCE Physical Education students recently attended an excursion to Renu Wellness Centre, where they explored a range of recovery methods used in sport and exercise. Students experienced ice baths, hot/cold therapy, compression boots, and the sauna, gaining practical insight into how each method supports recovery. The session linked directly to their studies of blood flow, particularly the processes of vasodilation and vasoconstriction. This hands-on experience helped students better understand how the body responds to different recovery strategies to enhance performance and reduce fatigue.
