School Crossing Supervisor

Location: Across the City of Yarra
Help keep children and families safe on their way to and from school!
Yarra City Council is looking for friendly and reliable people to join our team as School Crossing Supervisors.
This is a great casual job for anyone who enjoys being outdoors, wants flexible hours, and is passionate about helping the community.
About the Job
- Casual position: around 1 hour in the morning and/or afternoon, school days only
- Up to 10 hours per week, 2 hours per day maximum
- Help children and families cross the road safely at school crossings
- Be a friendly face in your local neighbourhood
- Work as part of a supportive and inclusive team
What You Need
- A strong sense of responsibility and care for child safety
- Be punctual and reliable
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of road safety rules
- Access to your own vehicle or public transport and a smartphone
- Willingness to travel to different crossings in the Yarra area
- Ability to follow safety procedures

Opportunity for Local Artists – Village Power Community Art Project
Local artists and creatives are invited to submit artwork concepts for a new community art installation in Alphington. A neighbourhood battery will be installed near the entrance to the Melbourne Farmers’ Market, and a commissioned artwork will be used to wrap the battery, transforming essential energy infrastructure into a visible community asset!
The opportunity is open to local artists, with a $5,000 commission awarded to the selected design. Four artists will be shortlisted, with one chosen to develop the final artwork.
