Stage 2 News

Year 3
The Year 3 students have begun their Zing Activ athletics program, and they are thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to develop their athletic skills. Each session focuses on building fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping and throwing, while also encouraging teamwork, confidence and participation. The program is helping students prepare for our upcoming athletics carnival, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm, effort and positive attitudes as they practise and improve each week.
Year 4
This semester in Geography, Year 4 students have been learning how to use geographical information to understand the Earth’s climates and environments. Students explored the Equator and learned how a place’s proximity to the Equator can influence its climate and environment. They also discovered the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and how these help us describe different parts of the world.
Students investigated how areas of the Earth can be grouped into climate zones based on similar temperatures, rainfall, and the types of vegetation that grow there. They also looked at different climate zones across the world and within Australia.
Great work, Year 4!
