HARMONY DAY
Harmony Day is celebrated across Australia on Saturday 21st March and recognises and celebrates our country’s cultural diversity. It is a time to reflect on the message that Everyone Belongs and to appreciate the many different cultures, backgrounds and traditions that make our community so special.
As this falls on the weekend, our school will be celebrating Harmony Day on Friday 20th March.
To mark the occasion, we invite CCK students to wear a splash of orange with their school uniform on the day. Orange is the colour of Harmony Day and represents respect, inclusiveness and a sense of belonging for all Australians.
Your child might like to add a small touch of orange such as:
- Orange shoelaces
- Hair clips or scrunchies
- A wristband or bracelet
- Socks
A ribbon or small accessory
Students are encouraged to wear their usual school uniform and simply add a little orange to join in the celebration.
We look forward to celebrating Harmony Day together and acknowledging the wonderful diversity within our school community.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are RESPECTFUL
(Learning Time)
We are learning to use inside voices and share and take turns, listen respectfully to others.
