School Uniform

As the colder months are here and the beautiful Autumn weather drops the leaves from the trees, we remind all families of the importance of adhering to the school’s uniform policy. While we understand that travel to and from school can be cold, students are expected to arrive in full school uniform each day.

Please note that the following items are not permitted as part of the school uniform:

  • Beanies
  • Hoodie-style jumpers

If a student is unable to wear the correct uniform due to exceptional circumstances, we ask that a note or email be provided to the student’s Student Engagement Leader so that an out-of-uniform pass can be arranged.

We sincerely appreciate the continued support of parents and guardians in maintaining high standards of uniform and school pride.

Celebrating Student Success

In the final week of this term, we will hold a whole school assembly to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students. We look forward to recognising students who demonstrate consistent attendance, strong progress reports and uphold our school values throughout the semester. All members of the school community are welcome to attend. The event will be held in our undercover area - please be sure to consider the cold when coming along.

Date: Friday 26th of June 2026

Time: 12pm

All welcome to attend - email invitations will be sent Tuesday the 23rd of June 2026 for award recipients.

Awards to be presented:

Progress Reports: For students who have demonstrated the learning behaviours that indicate the best chance of success in the classroom. These are calculated using the progress report averages throughout the semester.

Values: For students who have demonstrated on a consistent basis the schools values of Respect | Kindness | Confidence. These awards are calculated by the chronicle entries that have been entered by teachers.

Attendance: Coming to school every day is a strong indicator of school success. We will recognise students who have the highest at school attendance per year level. Calculated using the at school attendance (and approved extra-curricula programs).

Attitude to School Survey

We will be conducting the Department of Educations annual Attitude to School Survey in the coming weeks. This survey allows students the opportunity to provide point in time feedback to the school about their experiences in the classroom, how interactions are managed, and their feelings about coming to school. This data significantly shapes school decisions and the importance of the selection of school programs. We ask students to be honest in their feedback and use this opportunity to be clear with the things that matter most to them, students are encouraged to not sit on the fence in the middle grounds of the survey to ensure the school understands their opinions and can adopt appropriate improvement initiatives to steadily increase opportunities offered. Should parents/guardians wish to discuss their students participation please reach out to the Student Engagement Leaders.

Semester 2

From Simone's report, you will have read that I am taking leave for the second half of the year to undertake some professional learning and to experience an alternative school setting in South-East Queensland. I am looking forward to my experience and bringing back new skills, insights and opportunities for Mount Beauty Secondary College students in 2027. If you have any questions about this, please contact the school office and I will return your call or email.
