Principal's Report
Simone Roy
Assistant Principal, Mitch Harris, has requested to take leave in Semester 2 of 2026 so that he and his family can explore some opportunities that have presented themselves. It will mean a change of state for their family, heading to Queensland to enjoy the warmer weather while we rug up for the cold. We wish Mitch and his family all the best for their adventures.
As such, we are currently in the middle of the recruitment process for internal applicants to fill the Acting Assistant Principal role for the remainder of the year. Once our process has finished, we will announce the decision. We are working to ensure that this swap of leaders is as seamless as possible, so that our students and families are disrupted as little as possible.

The Middle School Drama class is gearing up to perform their play, Unspoken Steps on Wednesday 3rd and Friday 5th June, from 5-6pm in the Jessie Hollonds Studios. Tickets are currently available from the office at $7.50 per student and $10 per adult. Seats are limited, so don’t miss out!
This is the first week that our 4 students have been away from school and home, having moved into their new residence at the Gnurad Gundidj Campus for the remainder of this term. We wish Caleb, Harry, Nina and Zoe a wonderful time away, hope they learn lots about themselves and others, and return with plans for their Community Learning Project.

National Reconciliation Week starts on Wednesday 27 May 2026 and runs until Wednesday 3 June; the same dates every year.
The week is a chance for everyone to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and achievements. The theme for this year is “All In”, which is designed to invite us to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation. Nurturing respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples can only strengthen our great nation.
