Term 2 - Week 8
Dear Families
I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and had the opportunity to spend time with those who matter most while doing the things you enjoy.
Last Friday, our staff participated in a Wellbeing and Safeguarding Professional Development Day. This important session focused on strengthening our understanding and practices in the areas of wellbeing, behaviour, safeguarding, and the creation of positive learning environments for all students.
It is essential that those entrusted with the care of St Kilian’s students are provided with dedicated time to engage with new initiatives, review compliance requirements, and deepen their understanding of professional responsibilities and procedures. I sincerely thank our families for their support in allowing us this valuable time together.
Did You Know?
St Kilian’s will unveil a new front entrance by the end of Term 3. Following the completion of Stage One of the Admin Hub refurbishments, all community members and visitors entering via Havelock Street will be welcomed through this refreshed and inviting entry point.

New Website
We’re excited to share our newly refreshed website, designed to make information easier to find. Please take a moment to explore and see what’s new.

School Uniform
We ask all families to please ensure students are wearing the correct school uniform. We have noticed some non-uniform items appearing, and we are working to address this. Uniform items are available on site and can be ordered via this link.
School Hours Supervision
Before School - the schoolyard is unsupervised before 8:30 am. There are still many children on the grounds prior to this time and there is no teacher on duty. For the safety of your children, I ask that they are not dropped off at school before 8:30am.
After School – Students should be collected before 3.30pm. Supervision finishes at 3.30 as staff are expected in meetings. If you are running late, please contact the office. Alternatively, YMCA offer after school care in the school hall.
Semester One Reports
Student reports will be released in the final week of Term 2 for families to access via SIMON. Families will be able to log in to PAM (Simon Everywhere App) to view their child’s report.
These reports provide a detailed overview of student progress, achievement and areas for future growth across all learning areas. Parents and carers are encouraged to read through the report carefully and discuss their child’s learning with them.
Bicknell's Interschool Cup Basketball Challenge
Congratulations to our basketballers who have made the Grand Final of the Bicknell's Intersport Cup this weekend. The grand final will take place on Sunday 14 June 2026 at halftime of the women’s 2pm game with an approximate start of 2.30pm on court.
2027 Enrolment Information
We have greatly enjoyed welcoming prospective families to our recent school tours and enrolment information opportunities as part of the 2027 enrolment process. It has been wonderful to share all that makes St Kilian's Primary School such a vibrant, welcoming and supportive learning community.
We look forward to welcoming many new students and families to our school community in 2027 and thank all families who have taken the time to visit, ask questions, and explore what our school has to offer. Enrolment applications are currently being finalised, with enrolment offers and acceptances to be sent out from 6 June.
Families with siblings are reminded to complete the online enrolment application via our school website: St Kilian’s Primary School – Enrolment Application.
New Playground & Landscaping
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work towards delivering this exciting addition to our learning and play spaces. We care looking forward to playground construction commencing early term three.
McAuley Refurbishment Project
The McAuley Refurbishment Project is progressing well and still on track for completion later in August. All walls, doors and windows have been installed; plastering begins later in the week.
After moving into the McAuley building, Sewell Bros. Builders will move to Stage 2 of the build – redesigning the current reception and creating a new Art learning space.
Parents & Friends Association
The Parents & Friends Association plays a vital role in strengthening our school community through a range of social and fundraising initiatives. Through their ongoing efforts, the P&F contributes valuable funds that enhance our school environment and support improved resources for our students. This year, the P&F have committed funds towards;

Catholic School Parents Victoria
Catholic School Parents Victoria (CSPV) has launched a new website (link below) which is a great resource for parents. CSPV supports families as partners in their child’s learning by strengthening home/school connections and providing clear information, guidance, and advocacy, so parents feel informed, empowered, and engaged in their child’s school journey. Please feel free to visit their new website at https://cspv.catholic.edu.au/ or visit their Facebook page.
