From The Library 

Thank you to all our school community who came to support the school’s 10th Lamont Book Fair.

We had a great display of our beautiful school community, which not only included students, mums and dads, brother and sisters, but also grandparents, neighbours and uncles and aunties.

People were buying books for birthday presents, Christmas presents, and books to just enjoy.

I am assuming there will be a lot of magic tricks being shown to lots of people as it was a very popular book sold.

I would like to thank Karen Wasson, author of Drop Into the Ocean andInked (and Mum of Sophie K from 6M) for coming to chat to some grades while they were looking at the Book Fair.  Students were asked to come up with some questions they would like to ask Karen about being an Author, and I must say, there were some great questions!  Thanks Karen for sharing your passion and your love of books to our students. 

I also want to thank all the teachers who volunteered their time to help out at the Book Fair before and after school. All the students loved seeing you there.

This year’s Book Fair was our biggest ever, selling over $7,443.00 in sales.  Our school will benefit from the commission of $2,233.00 to go towards books for our school library for everyone to share and enjoy.
