Year 3 / 4 Soccer Gala Day
On Thursday 30th October, students in Years 3 & 4 were selected to participate in a Soccer Gala Day.
Students played a range of games throughout the day against many other schools in the district. I would like to congratulate all students on their effort and participation. It was great to see some fantastic teamwork and encouragement for each other during some tough competition.
A huge thank you to our Year 5 and 6 student helpers for supporting the younger students and teachers during the day. Well done to all students and congratulations to our Girls A team for finishing in second place!!
District Hot Shots Tennis Competition
On Friday, October 10th, Epping Views Primary took part in the District Hot Shots Tennis Competition at Casa D’Abruzzo. Two amazing teams from Years 4–6 represented our school in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions, playing a mix of singles and doubles matches.
Everyone gave it their all and showed fantastic sportsmanship, teamwork, and our school values throughout the day. A huge shout out to our Sports Leaders, Cassie and David, for being excellent role models and supporting their teammates.
We are proud to announce that both teams finished FIRST PLACE! Congratulations to all our players, what an incredible achievement! We wish you all the best for the next round!
On Wednesday 29th October the EVPS Girls and Boys Hot Shot Tennis teams went to Whittlesea Tennis Club to play the best tennis schools in the Whittlesea Division.
It was fantastic weather for tennis and both teams got off to a flying start with 2 straight wins over their respective opponents.
The final game materialised as somewhat of a Grand Final with Plenty Parklands PS boys and girls who were on equal points with us to that point.
Both teams went down in very tight affairs, the girls losing 7-5 to last year’s State number 4 primary school. The boys also lost but ended up winning the Division title overall on a supreme count-back, while the girls finished a gallant second.
Overall it was an incredible effort by both teams to come top 2 in the Whittlesea Division.
The boys team now moves forward to the Northern Region Hot Shots tournament next Friday.
Good luck boys!
Well done EVPS!
Aaron & Nicole,
PE Team
