Year 2

In Science this term Year 2 have been investigating Earth's resources and where things come from. Students are learning that ‘everything comes from something’. They explored ice cream and looked at where the different ingredients came from. Students then had the opportunity to create their own delicious ice cream. 

SRC

Our SRC students from Years 3-11 were invited by Becca Bakes, The Uralla Blue Tree Project and the Uralla Neighbourhood Centre to join them and students from local schools to paint a new blue tree to help raise awareness about mental health and to start conversations within our community. They also put on a special morning tea for students and spoke to them about the importance of looking after each other and starting conversations about mental health. The Blue Tree will be erected in the courtyard at Becca Bakes. All community members are invited to attend the official unveiling and free community BBQ on Sunday 14, September. At this event community members will be invited to add their handprint to the tree. Thank you to Becca Bakes, staff from the Uralla Blue Tree Project and the Uralla Neighbourhood Centre for including us in this important community initiative.
