Year 7 Humanities Excursion to Melbourne Museum and Koorie Heritage Trust

This week our Year 7 students have had an adventure in the city visiting Koorie Heritage Trust at Federation Square and Melbourne Museum as part of our Ancient Australia and Ancient Cultures units in Humanities.
At KHT we learnt about traditional Indigenous inventions, tools, cultural practices and the relationship between the 5 Kulin Nations whilst walking along the Birrarung.
We were lucky enough to also visit the temporary exhibition at Melbourne Museum displaying artifacts from Ancient Rome. We saw hundreds of artifacts, appreciated artwork and demonstrated our curiosity by asking fantastic questions.
Thank you to Mr Starr for organising such a fun and educational day out and thanks to all the Year 7 teachers and Classroom Support staff for making the day possible.
