Melissa Jacobs

Dear parents and carers,

It has been lovely to see a little more sunshine this week with spring now upon us. We are looking forward to making the most of these warmer days as we head towards the holidays at the end of another busy and successful term.

Curriculum Planning Week

Our staff have been working hard throughout our Term 3 planning week this week, preparing engaging and high-quality curriculum programs for Term 4.

While staff have been busy planning and preparing, students have participated in a range of specialist classes and activities. It has been wonderful to see students consistently demonstrating our expected behaviours and making the most of these learning opportunities.

Year Six China Study Tour

Our 17 students, accompanied by Ms Ma, Mrs Busuttil and Mr Pearce, set off on their China adventure on Monday evening. After a big night and day of travel, the group has arrived safely in Beijing, and is already immersing themselves in the experiences and Chinese culture.

Be sure to keep reading further in the newsletter for updates and highlights from our team in China!

Ramps Update

Our ramps work continue this week, with the completion of the ramp between the Year 5 rooms and the junior playground. The cutting that needs to be completed around our Year Four area will begin soon, so that the concrete can be poured.

Thank you to our school community for your ongoing understanding during these works.

Sports Celebration Day

We are very excited to celebrate our Sports Celebration Day on Friday, 18th September! This is always a favourite event on the APS calendar, and I am looking forward to seeing our students and staff proudly dressed in the colours of their favourite sporting teams.

We can’t wait for a fun-filled day of friendly competition.

Last Day of Term

Just a reminder that Friday, 18th September is the final day of Term 3. Students will be dismissed at 2:30pm.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable final week of Term 3!

Melissa
