District Cricket

On Thursday the 17th of September, the 5/6 girls and boys went to Dixon field to compete in the District Cricket tournament. All students played their best and had a really amazing time.

The girls first played Holy Cross and beat them by 130 runs.

 Next, they played Riddles Creek and won by about 40 runs.

Lastly, they went up against Braemar and beat them by 80 runs.

Since the girls won all their games, they came first in their pool. This meant they had to play the top team from the other pool.

Sadly, they lost to New Gisborne by 40 runs meaning that they came second overall. 

Great job to all of the girls who participated in District Cricket!!

Huge thanks to all of the staff and organisers who made this day possible. It was really fun and we all had an awesome time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Thursday the 17th of September the Year 5/6 boys went to Dixon Field to play cricket against other nearby schools. We all had fun and scored lots of runs. In our first game we played against Holy Cross, we sadly lost. In our second game, we played against Riddles Creek, and we lost again. In our third game, we played against Braemar and we unfortunately lost again. After adding up the scores, we made it into the 5th place playoff against Mt Macedon. It was a battle of the Mountain and sadly we just lost by a couple runs. A big thanks to Anthony Belcher for coaching our team. It was a fun day and it wouldn’t have happened without Mr O to organize the event.
