Dear Parents and Carers,
This is the final message from the school for 2025.
Today's final assembly was a wonderful way to conclude a fruitful and eventful year of learning and growth for our school community.
Congratulations to our Year Six students as they graduate from Primary school and begin the next step in the learning journey at Secondary school. A highlight of the Assembly was the sharing of the 2025 Year 6 Graduation Dance
Another memorable moment of the assembly was the presentation of the 2025 End of Year Highlights package.
Last Friday's Graduation Mass and Ceremony was a special time for our Year Six student and their families. Supported by the St Simon's School staff, the ceremony was a time to remember and celebrate the growth and learning each of our Year Six students had achieved.
Thank you to the Year 5/6 Teachers for all their hard work and planning for the graduation celebrations, and to a fantastic group of parents who worked throughout the term in the lead-up to the celebrations.
Year Six Graduation - Thank you
The Year Six Graduation Parent Committee would like to thank Kris Faife from Loan Market Rowville, as his business donated the funds used to purchase the graduation cookies from Three Little Cookies and graduation cupcakes from Kijamo Cakes. We also wish to thank Henry's Mercato for donating fruit for our grade 6 students to have as part of their snack on graduation celebration day.
Finally, a big thank you to the parent committee for donating their time to set up the hall, distribute lunch from Burger Chiefs, and pack up at the end of the day. The hall was transformed into a sparkly party venue, and your hard work made this day very special for our grade 6's.

Families with a prep child in 2025 should have also received a letter about Prep assessment session appointments commencing on Wednesday, 28th January.
May each of our St Simon's families have a blessed, safe and happy Christmas, and we look forward to seeing you at the beginning of the 2026 school year.
Changes from Operoo to nForma
At the end of this year, the St Simon's School community will no longer use Operoo as one of the key communication platforms. Instead, we will transition to nForma, which will become our primary platform for online parent communication.
Parents are already familiar with nForma as the system used to access student reports. In addition to reports, parents will now be able to access important information such as medical forms, permission slips, excursion details, school notices and newsletters. Notifications will also be shared directly through the platform.
We are currently working behind the scenes to ensure all student details are transferred from Operoo to nForma, including any up-to-date medical information. This will be transferred over the January break. When we return to school in the new year we will ask you to check that all the information is there, and if not to update as required. For students who require updated medical forms or action plans, these will need to be uploaded directly into nForma.
Parents can log in to nForma using the exact login details currently used to access their child’s school reports.

To assist with your household planning for the beginning of the school year, please note the following 2026 dates for Term 1.
Term 1 Dates: Tuesday 27th January to Thursday 2nd April
- Tuesday 27th January: Staff Return (No students)
- Wednesday 28th January: Meet and Greet Session ( by appointment with your child's classroom teacher), Prep Assessment session (by appointment for current families with a 2026 prep child)
- Thursday 29th January: Yrs 1- 6 Students return
- Friday 30th January: Preps' First Day of School
