OSHC Update from the Service Coordinator, Libby Finn

We are fortunate at OSHC to have a great collection of Lego bricks and base plates. Lego is fabulous for children, as it encourages problem solving, original thinking, story telling and fine motor skills. Lately the children have been making buildings and figures using a variety of plans and techniques. It has been great to see the children collaborating to make things together and engaging in imaginative and cooperative play around the Lego table.

It’s hard to believe it is the end of term one and soon the weather will be getting colder again. Over the last fortnight we have been making good use of the last of the sunshine, playing outside most afternoons. We have played ball games and taken it in turns in a follow the leader obstacle course.

Over the Easter holidays, Theircare runs Holiday Program at several local schools, including Emerald and Upwey. There are lots of fun excursions and activities on offer and it operates from 6:30am – 6:30pm. To enrol, parents will need to log into their Theircare account and add the relevant school. Head office can help with this too if you call them on 1300 072 410. I will be working most days at Upwey Primary School. I wish all the Menzies Creek Families a safe and restful Easter Break.
