What's Happening

RMPS Colour Run Wrap-Up 🌈🎉
What a day! A huge thank you to our RMPS community for making this year’s Colour Run such a success.
From the moment the first group hit the course, the energy was high and the smiles were everywhere. The event ran smoothly and safely, and it was wonderful to see students, staff, volunteers and families all getting behind the fun. There were plenty of happy (and very colourful!) faces. 😄📸
A special shout-out to our amazing volunteers! You were a huge part of what made the day work so well. Thank you for giving your time, bringing the enthusiasm, and helping create a brilliant experience for the kids. We hope you also got to enjoy the day alongside your little runners.
A big thank you to our teachers as well! Your organisation on the day, and getting the runners lined up and ready to go, made a huge difference to keeping everything running smoothly.
And wasn’t it fantastic to see Peter and Stephen get slimed!! 🎉😂 What a fun moment and a perfect way to cap off the day. Congrats to the students who had the privilege of sliming them 🟢.
And what a finish! Having the Fire Rescue crew come down to hose the kids off was an absolute highlight 🚒💦 and a moment many students will be talking about for a long time.
We’d also like to thank our school management team, Heide and Mel, for all the behind-the-scenes effort that helped pull everything together.
We also want to celebrate the incredible fundraising effort this year. Thank you to every family who registered, shared fundraising links, and supported the school community through donations.
Thank you again, everyone, you are all amazing. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🌈🙌
RMPS Maths Week Celebration
This week, our school came alive with excitement as we celebrated Maths Week! Across all year levels, students were immersed in a range of engaging and thought-provoking activities designed to build confidence, curiosity and enjoyment in mathematics.
The highlight of the week was our Maths Day incursion on Thursday 26th March. During the day, Louisa from Felstead Education ran three sessions with our students:
- The Junior Maths Show (Foundation to Year 2s) - consisted of short sketches and games that combine maths history, maths magic, puzzles and more
- The Maths Escape Room (Year 3s and 4s) – the students worked in teams of four to solve a series of maths challenges as they try to escape from the room (gym)
- The Amazing Maths Race (Year 5s and 6s) – the students worked in teams of four to solve a series of maths challenges as they race around the world (all within your school)
Students and teachers alike shared how much they enjoyed working together in groups to tackle a variety of engaging maths questions and puzzles.
Other highlights from the week were:
- Our open morning on Monday where the RMPS families visited the school to complete some of the maths challenges that the students had been doing in class
- The maths buddy session where students answered the measurement question in small groups – is my body square? (same arm span and height)
- Solving problems daily in class to challenge our thinking. There are some examples of questions below.
Thanks to everyone for their support in making Maths Week so successful!
