Deputy Principal

Dear Sacred Heart Community,
As we head towards Easter I am reminded of the wonderful way our school community, led by our students, observed throughout the week the Story of Holy Week. The mystery of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ remains at the heart of our Catholic faith. I hope you find time to reflect over the weekend the wonderful story of the Passion of our Lord and you enjoy Easter with family and loved ones!
Student Leadership
A massive shout out to all student leaders throughout Term 1. It has been fantastic getting to know you better and to see you work diligently as young leaders has been most impressive.
Here are four more young people this school is proud to have as leaders; Ben, Shamus, Amy and Katalina.
I am Ben. I am 11 years old. I will be a good STEAM leader. I will step up if something is wrong. I am helpful to everyone including the preps. I would play with anyone that wanted to play with me. Leadership is all about teamwork to me. I do help everyone and I think leadership is good!
My name is Shamus and I am a Contemporary Learning Leader for 2026. I am a nice and friendly person and I’m smart in general. My strengths for 2026 are teamwork and working with technology, which is why I got this leadership role. To me, leadership is about being a nice and friendly person and setting a good example to the people you know.
Hi my name is Amy and I am a music leader for 2026 I hope the kids will have fun
For music, I will be helping you! What leadership means to me is by helping together and giving kindness to everyone and showing care and helping everyone.
Hello, I am Katalina and I'm the 2026 Freeman (red house) leader. I am very responsible and will do wonders for my team, I am very proud to be house captain again and will wear my badge like a real leader would! To me, leadership is about being respectful and trustworthy to people and always be in front and shine for others!
Garden Club coming in Term 2!
After our recent Working Bee I must say our grounds look incredible. Thanks to Annmarie (Luke's mum) who donated a bunch of veggies for us to plant. Our Sustainability Leaders, Chloe and Austin, called on a few green fingers (Madelyn, Abigail and Mariana) to help prepare the soil for the planting. We look forward to next term having all 5 planter boxes full of seeds, flowers, herbs and vegetables! Thanks Chloe for your leadership and enthusiasm.
