All families are welcome to join us for breakfast in the central courtyard and feast upon a range of pastries, fruit, sausages, juice, tea and coffee (a Coffee Van will be on-site).

It will be a time to catch up, meet new people and just enjoy the new year.

We hope to see you all there!

It's a Boy

If you haven't caught up on the news, Mrs Chantel Simon had a beautiful baby boy, Luciano,  just before Christmas. Couldn't get a better present than that!

Year 6 Leadership

This week, Year 6 students applying for leadership positions have been diligently compiling their written applications and rehearsing their presentations.

On Friday they will have the opportunity to present themselves along with what they have to offer through our interview process.

Relevant staff and I will review the applications of all candidates and once a consensus has been reached and positions decided upon, candidates will be notified.

Successful candidates will be presented to the school community at the school assembly on Monday 16th February.

We look forward to reviewing the applications

and to this Friday's presentations. Good luck to all!

Information and Communication Technology Student Access Agreement

In line with our focus on promoting responsible and safe behaviours when using digital technology, last week we sent home the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic School Acceptable Use of ICT Agreement for Students.

In order to ensure we maximize learning while maintaining safety online, it is important that parents read and discuss the policy. The agreement is to be signed by both parent and child and returned to the classroom teacher by the end of this week.

Fee and Levy statements were set out last week, so simply download the app via iOS or Google play and get started.

We encourage 100% of families to set up for CDFpay to make it easy for all.

Student Absences

All families must inform the school of any and every absence of your child(ren), including a reason why. If you do not let the school know, we must contact you on the same day to make sure your child is safe. This will be done by email.

So... to make it easy you can now do this via your n-Forma nParent Portal. The Absentee feature is now active! Simply open the app and click on 'Absent', follow the prompts and submit.

Please note that any child who arrives after the 9:00am bell will need to report to the office to obtain a late pass. This is necessary to ensure attendance details are accurate.

Sharing of Food

It is important to remind all children and families that at no time should children be sharing food with other children during eating times. We have several children with food allergies so, for the safety of all, we ask all families to reiterate the importance, with their children, of not sharing food with others.

Throughout the year, children may bring lolly bags to school to share with their classmates to celebrate their birthdays; however, we ask that these be distributed by the class teacher at home time and are only eaten with the permission of parents. Children with allergies are requested to bring along a 'treat box'  to assist with such times.

Please do not bring cakes or biscuits to school.

Have a wonderful week

God Bless

Anthony Hyde
