Student Spotlight 

Tahnysha T - Year 12

During the Term Two school holidays, I had the amazing opportunity to compete at the Austrian Junior Open in Salzburg, Austria and the Karate1 Youth League in Poreč, Croatia.  

It was a fabulous experience and a real honour to represent Australia in the sport that I love.  

I brought home a bronze medal in Junior Kumite Female 53kg and a bronze medal in Junior Kumite Open Weight at the Austrian Junior Open and made it to the round of 32 out of 96 competitors at the Karate1 Youth League.  

Recently, I also competed at the Australian National Championships in Geelong, bringing home a silver medal in U21 Kumite Female -50kg and a bronze medal in Senior Kumite Female -50kg.
