Principal's Address

Dear Parents,

What an amazing week to celebrate reading and books! All the children looked spectacular in their costumes.

This week, I have been thinking about ‘interruptions’. No one likes to be interrupted, whether in everyday conversations or in the rhythm and routines of life. And yet, interruptions can sometimes lead to unexpected outcomes.

Looking at Jesus’ life, we see many moments of interruption. He was teaching in a crowded house when a paralysed man was lowered through the roof. He was sleeping in a boat when the disciples woke Him, panicking about the storm. He withdrew to a solitary place, only to be followed by a crowd of thousands. Yet in each interruption, something remarkable happened. Jesus healed the paralysed man, calmed the storm and fed the 5,000. God is still at work in and through interruptions.

Looking at our building project, it too can be perceived as an ‘interruption’. Heavy vehicles and machinery come and go, the kiss-and-drop is out of action and some construction noise is present in the background. And yet, even in these early stages, every day of groundwork is laying the foundation for what is to come: a beautiful building where children can learn and grow.

A kind reminder that next Friday we will be having our special Father’s Day Chapel. 

We look forward to celebrating all our dads and the important impact they have on our lives.
