Term 2 - Week 10
Dear Families
As we approach the halfway point of the year, it is important to pause and reflect on the many achievements along the way, and to acknowledge those who make them possible.
I would like to sincerely thank our dedicated staff, who continually go above and beyond to ensure every student is given the best opportunity to learn and grow. They take the time to build meaningful relationships, truly knowing each child - their strengths, their challenges, and how best to support them.
A big congratulations also to our students, who arrive each day with smiles on their faces and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and school life. Their positivity and energy are the heart of our community.
And finally, thank you to our families for your ongoing support and partnership. Your involvement plays a vital role in the success and wellbeing of our students.
Looking ahead, we are excited that late next term we will begin to enjoy new staff and office facilities, along with enhanced learning and play spaces. These improvements will be most welcome following what has been a long journey, and we look forward to the opportunities they will bring for our whole community.
I wish all families and safe, relaxing and refreshing break.

Important Notice to Families
Please note that Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd (CESL) has advised that St Kilian’s School will be closed on Thursday 30 July.
On this day, Bishop René Ramirez will be formally installed at Sacred Heart Cathedral, with a large function to follow at St Kilian’s Hall. Due to the significant number of visitors and increased traffic expected in the area throughout the day, the school will be closed to ensure the safety of our students and community.
We thank families for your understanding and support.
New Website
We’re excited to share our newly refreshed website, designed to make information easier to find. Please take a moment to explore and see what’s new.
Final Reminder – Teeth on Wheels Visit
Teeth On Wheels will be visiting our School for dental check-ups starting on July 13th 2026.
We understand that dental visits can feel intimidating for children, which is why Teeth On Wheels makes oral health education both fun and engaging. When children enjoy their experience with the dentist, it sets a foundation for positive oral health habits that last a lifetime. Fun, hands-on activities help children develop good habits like regular brushing, flossing, and understanding the importance of healthy teeth. This enjoyable approach not only reduces fear but empowers children to take ownership of their oral health. By creating a positive experience at an early age, we are setting the stage for healthier smiles and stronger habits throughout their life.
To ensure your child is part of this visit, please complete the consent form by clicking the link below:

The cut-off date for completing your child’s form is July 6th 2026.
For any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Teeth On Wheels team at (03) 9338 1191.
School Uniform
We ask all families to please ensure students are wearing the correct school uniform. We have noticed some non-uniform items appearing, and we are working to address this. Uniform items are available on site and can be ordered via this link.
School Hours Supervision
Before School
The schoolyard is unsupervised before 8:30 am. There are still many children on the grounds prior to this time and there is no teacher on duty. For the safety of your children, I ask that they are not dropped off at school before 8:30am.
After School – Students should be collected before 3.30pm. Supervision finishes at 3.30 as staff are expected in meetings. If you are running late, please contact the office, alternatively YMCA offer after school care in the school hall.
Semester One Reports
Student reports will be released this week for families to access via SIMON. Families will be able to log in to PAM (Simon Everywhere App) to view their child’s report.
These reports provide a detailed overview of student progress, achievement and areas for future growth across all learning areas. Parents and carers are encouraged to read through the report carefully and discuss their child’s learning with them.
Fun Fact: Did you know?
When the McAuley Building Refurbishment is complete, our YMCA OHSC program will operate from within a specially designed space within this building – an easy pick-up and drop-off for our families.
New Playground & Landscaping
Our architects and builders are working in partnership with Omnitech Playgrounds and a specialist shade sail company to design a vibrant, landscaped play space that will breathe new life into this area and bring joy to our students. We are hopeful that construction will begin early next term.
McAuley Building Refurbishment Project
Plastering is nearing completion, and with doors and windows now installed, the project is really beginning to take shape. The Art Room will be cleared this week in preparation for a refurbishment over the holidays, ready to be back in use at the start of Term 3.

The Parents & Friends Association plays a vital role in strengthening our school community through a range of social and fundraising initiatives. Through their ongoing efforts, the P&F contributes valuable funds that enhance our school environment and support improved resources for our students. This year, the P&F have committed funds towards;

Catholic School Parents Victoria
Catholic School Parents Victoria (CSPV) has launched a new website (link below) which is a great resource for parents. CSPV supports families as partners in their child’s learning by strengthening home/school connections and providing clear information, guidance, and advocacy, so parents feel informed, empowered, and engaged in their child’s school journey. Please feel free to visit their new website at https://cspv.catholic.edu.au/ or visit their Facebook page.
