Wear It Yellow Day Bake Sale
As Reconciliation Week ends, I would like to give you a peek at what the children did!
They played lots of physical Indigenous outdoor games such as Kutturi, Edor and Kokan. These games were altered so we could play them appropriately but have been based off of different tribes that used to play these games for many, many years!
Indoors, we did LOTS of craft activities whilst learning more about the oldest culture in the world 🌏. The children learnt about weaving, animal totems that represent different people and country, indigenous symbols to tell stories and soooo much more‼️
I would also like to extend a big thanks to all the educators that brought in baked goods for the 🌻🌟🏵️Wear It Yellow bake sale 💛⭐🌝 AND everyone that came in and donated for a sweet treat!
Altogether, we raised ‼️ $1000.45 ‼️that will certainly support First Nations education, health, community and cultural development!!!
Kind Regards,
