Smile Squad is back 

You will need to complete a new consent form for 2026

Dear families,

The Smile Squad team from Better Health Network Parkdale are coming back to our school in Term 2.

Smile Squad is the Victorian Government free school dental program.

This means all students can get a free dental check-up at school.

How to access free dental care

They need your consent before they can provide services. Consent is usually provided by a parent or guardian.

Updated PPS Policies

Our school policies are regularly reviewed by our Leadership Team, and all PPS policies are aligned with the current requirements of the Department of Education.

Before and after school supervision

Student safety at Parkdale Primary is our highest priority and the safe and appropriate supervision of students is an important element of our duty of care to students. Part of this duty is ensuring parents and students are aware of our student supervision arrangements before and after school. 

Before school: School grounds are supervised by school staff from 8.55am. 

After school: School grounds are supervised until 3.45pm.

Students on school grounds outside these times will not be supervised (unless they are attending a before or after school care program or supervised extracurricular activity). 

Parents/carers are requested to ensure that students do not attend school outside of these supervised times unless they are attending before or after school care, or a pre-arranged supervised activity (i.e. sports practice).
