Prep Students Explore Problem Solving with TaskWorks!
Wednesday 11th March 2026
What an exciting day it was for our Prep students during their TaskWorks incursion! As part of their Unit of Inquiry, “Who We Are”, the Preps had the chance to engage in hands-on, interactive activities that encouraged teamwork, problem solving and creative thinking.
Throughout the sessions, students worked together to tackle challenges that required persistence, effective communication and collaboration. From building a robot to experimenting with sharing ideas and supporting their peers, our Preps demonstrated fantastic social, cognitive and physical skills in action.
It was wonderful to see the children so engaged and excited, exploring new ways to work as a team and thinking creatively to solve problems. There was plenty of laughter, energy and “aha!” moments as students celebrated each other’s successes and tried new strategies.
The TaskWorks incursion gave our Preps an amazing opportunity to put their learning into practice in a fun, hands-on environment, highlighting how teamwork and perseverance can make problem solving even more rewarding.
We are so proud of the enthusiasm, curiosity and resilience our Prep students showed throughout the day and we look forward to seeing how these skills continue to grow in the classroom and beyond!
We would also like to extend a big thank you to the parent volunteers who helped out at the TaskWorks Incursion. Your support made a huge difference and helped ensure the sessions ran smoothly. We also greatly appreciate our Parent Representatives and our Level Leader for helping to organise additional volunteers at short notice so the day could go ahead successfully. Your support of our Prep community is truly valued.
