Religious Education News

At the beginning of Lent, our Faith and Service Leaders from each year level delivered a Project Compassion donation box to each classroom. Alongside making donations to the boxes, all students took part in our whole school sponsored ‘Witness for Mission’ Lenten Action on Friday, 27th March.
The theme of Project Compassion 2026, ‘Unite Against Poverty’, was both a call to action and a reminder that lasting change happens when we work together. With this in mind, our whole school event encouraged students to engage with, take action, and demonstrate Catholic Social Teaching and discipleship within our school and the wider community and recognise the positive impact their actions can have on others.
Our students fully embraced our school theme for this year, ‘Follow in His Footsteps’ and showed discipleship in action by raising an amazing $3,160.85 during Lent which will be sent to Caritas Australia. Thank you to our fabulous Stella Maris community for your outstanding kindness, support and generosity for those in need.
