CSEF
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES
Every Victorian child should have access to the world of learning opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities. It is part of making Victoria the Education State and the Government’s commitment to breaking the link between a student’s financial circumstances and their outcomes.
CAMPS, SPORTS and EXCURSIONS FUND (CSEF)
School camps provide children with inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Excursions encourage a deeper understanding of how the world works while sports teach teamwork, discipline and leadership. All are a part of a healthy curriculum.
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school excursions, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or support an out of home care student you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid directly to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
The annual CSEF amount per student is $400 for all school students.

Launching Place Primary School – School Council Term of Office
At Launching Place Primary School, School Council members are generally elected for a two-year term.
This includes:
- Parent members – elected for two years
- DET employee members – elected for two years
These longer terms help provide continuity and stability in supporting the governance and strategic direction of our school.
Office bearer positions, such as President and Vice President, are elected annually by the Council. If a member fills a casual vacancy during the year, they complete the remainder of the existing term.
If you are interested in joining School Council or would like further information about the role, please contact the school office. We welcome and value parent and staff participation in our school community.
If you have any questions about joining School Council, please contact the school office.
We look forward to your involvement.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club Volunteers Needed
The Breakfast Club runs every Wednesday and Thursday morning from 8:10 am to 8:40 am. One of our parents, Esme Adyneic, currently runs the club on both days. Thank you Esme.
We are looking for another parent to help Esme or share the load. If you think you could assist, please contact the school office.
We look forward to welcoming lots of students as they start their day with a healthy bite to eat and a positive start to learning!
