Principal's Message

Year 5/6 Camp Success
Our Year 5/6 students returned from City Camp absolutely buzzing! From the Shrine of Remembrance to the Aquarium, Skydeck, Old Melbourne Gaol and ice skating, it was a packed few days of learning, challenge and fun.
A huge thank you to our incredible staff – Katherine, Marissa, Makayla and Glenn – who ensured every student was supported, stretched and celebrated. Camp builds independence, resilience and connection… and our senior students represented Launch with pride.
Wellbeing Data Points to a Strong Transition
At the beginning of Week 4, we collected student and parent wellbeing data to check in on learner confidence, peer connection and sense of safety.
The data shows a strong start to 2026, with high levels of reported safety, positive peer relationships and access to learning supports. We will now use this data to:
Identify any students requiring Tier 2 support
Affirm and adjust Tier 3 supports
Strengthen classroom connection strategies
Thank you to families who completed the survey. Your voice helps us respond early and well.
Twilight Tour – Thursday 5th March
We’re excited to welcome prospective 2027 Prep families to our Twilight Tour on Thursday 5th March, 6:15–7:30pm.
Families will have the opportunity to:
Visit classrooms

Meet our Prep teacher, Learning Specialist and Wellbeing Leader
Chat with me about what makes Launch special
If you know a local family considering their Prep options, please spread the word and direct them to our website to RSVP!
Congratulations – District Swimming
Congratulations to Emma L, Henry D, Chelsea B and Tate W who represented Launch at District Swimming. Your preparation, sportsmanship and courage to compete at the next level makes us proud.
Whether you came home with a ribbon or simply gave it your all, you represented our school beautifully. Thanks to Launch parent and School Councillor Gemma W for helping Mr D at the event.
Yarra Junction Footy Clinics
We’re pleased to support the upcoming Yarra Junction Football Club clinics. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity for students to build skills, confidence and community connection.
Our senior classes will begin these tomorrow morning, with follow up sessions for junior students in the coming weeks.
Attendance Matters in Term One
Term One sets the tone for the year. Strong attendance supports connection, confidence and academic growth. If your child is experiencing challenges with attendance, please reach out early so we can support you.
Uniform Reminder
A friendly reminder that students are expected to wear approved uniform colours, sky blue or navy tops, paired with navy bottoms. Wearing consistent uniform helps build a strong sense of belonging and pride in our school community.
Second-hand uniform items are available from the office at very reasonable prices. If accessing uniform items is ever a challenge, please reach out as we’re always happy to help.
Virtual Tour
See you around our place,
