God Always Keeps His Promises
This week in The Adventures of Paul, we explored the dramatic story of Paul’s shipwreck from Acts 27 and discovered an important truth: God always keeps His promises.
To introduce the message, students had a laugh looking at some online shopping “fails” - products that looked amazing in the advertisement but arrived looking completely different! It reminded us that people and companies don’t always deliver on their promises… but God is different.
During the huge storm at sea, everyone on Paul’s ship thought they were doomed. Yet Paul remained calm because God had promised that they would survive. Even though the storm was still frightening and the ship was damaged, God did exactly what He said He would do.
Our key thought for the week is that “Storms may come and go… but God’s promises stay strong.”
We encouraged students to remember that when life feels uncertain, scary, or out of control, they can trust in a faithful God who always keeps His promises

Can you help?
We are truly blessed to have wonderful people share their time and love with others here at Good Shepherd. It is a key factor that helps to make this place feel like home. A big thank you to the mum who stepped into this role and served our community in this way last term, but she has let me know that her work circumstances have changed and she is no longer able to be here at the required time. I would love to hear from others who might be able to serve in this manner. If this is you, please come and have a chat (over a coffee perhaps) or email me here.
Love to hear from you soon!
