Principal’s Report

Remembrance Day

On Tuesday, our school community gathered in prayer and reflection for Remembrance Day. Together we paused to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country in times of war and peace. Through prayer and silence, our students showed deep respect and understanding of the importance of remembering.

Whilst we remembered at school our grade 6 leaders reverently participated in the Bendigo Remembrance Day Service.

Sporting Opportunities

Over the past couple of weeks, our Grade 6 students have proudly represented St Kilian’s at Cricket and Regional Basketball. We commend these students for their positive attitude, teamwork, and commitment to making the most of every opportunity.

Our Foundation to Year 2 students also enjoyed a fantastic time participating in the school swimming program, showing great enthusiasm and improvement in their water skills.

A special mention to Henry Macnee, who gave an outstanding performance at the School Sport Victoria State Athletics on Thursday. We are extremely proud of your effort and achievement Henry, well done!

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Tonight, some of our grade 2 students are participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.  This culminates multiple sessions with our Parish Sacramental Team, preparing them for this celebration.  I acknowledge the students for their commitment to the program as well as the Parish Sacramental Team for their planning and preparation for our community.

P-2 Tabloid Sports

Friday 21st November the students in Grades P-2 will participate in a Tabloid Sports morning. Details can be found on the PAM permission form.

The students are welcome to wear their House Colours for the day. They are very excited and have been doing lots of practice during their sports sessions.

During these sessions, we warmly invite parents and carers to join us in the school library for a coffee and chat. Our Orientation Day will be held on Tuesday 9 December, when we’ll host a more formal information session for parents in the school hall.

2026 Students

Planning for the 2026 school year has begun. To assist with this process, if you know your child (in Grade Prep to 5) will be leaving St Kilian’s School at the end of the year, except the graduating Grade 6 class, could you please inform me via email or a letter of your intentions as soon as possible. By doing this, it will assist in organising staffing and class numbers for the 2026 school year. I thank you for your assistance, in advance, for the parents who this applies
