Prayer & Acknowledgements

A Prayer for Grandparents
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of our grandparents —
for their wisdom that guides us,
their stories that connect us to our heritage,
and their love that wraps around us like a warm embrace.
Bless them with good health, peaceful hearts,
and the joy of knowing they are deeply cherished.
Grant them patience in life’s challenges,
and strength to continue sharing their faith, kindness, and hope.
May their days be filled with laughter,
their nights with rest,
and their hearts with the comfort of Your presence.
Help us to honour them not just in words,
but in the way we live and love.
Amen.

Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Yorta Yorta people as the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which we meet today. We commit to actively working alongside First Nations people for healing, reconciliation and justice.
The Catholic education faith community is inclusive and acknowledges that we are all made in the image and likeness of God and we are created in love. People of all faiths, genders, sexualities and cultures are therefore respected equally in the Sandhurst Catholic community.
We acknowledge the pain and suffering of all who have been hurt in body, mind and spirit by those who have betrayed the trust placed in them.
May we all stand tall, stand firm, grounded in truth, together as one.
