Music

Auditions for Soiree to be held early term 3 ADVANCED MUSICIANS ONLY please.

Year 5/6 will participate in circus skills and a choreographed dance program. This will culminate in a school circus concert to be showcased in September at the BAYSIDE CHURCH. Each class will focus on 1 specific circus skill to showcase and 1 dance item.

PE 

In PE this term, students will be developing the skill acquisitions and understanding of various different Athletic skills, with proper techniques for jumps, throws and running events. 

They will also be participating in House Athletics, which will be occurring on Tuesday August 11th.

ART

In Term 3, Year 5 & 6 students will create expressive ceramic vessels using Kurinuki, applying learned carving and compositional techniques. They will also learn the process of dry felting and to create their own dry felted artwork inspired by Australian contemporary environmental artist John Dahlsen.

STEAM

In STEAM this term, students will investigate how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have traditionally selected and used materials to solve practical problems. Students will examine the properties of natural materials, explore the science behind traditional technologies, and apply this understanding to design, test and evaluate contemporary solutions. 

LOTE

In Mandarin this term, students will be learning to use a variety of vocabulary, modelled sentence structures to introduce our school and school life.
