New look for the Library
A huge thank you to Michelle, Kerryn, Fi and Melody for the incredible time, care and effort they have put into selecting, organising and purchasing our new furniture. Their thoughtful planning has transformed the space into a warm, welcoming and inviting environment that is both functional and appealing. It has been fantastic to see our students already embracing the new space, enjoying its fresh look and making the most of this wonderful addition to our school. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication in creating such a positive learning environment for everyone.
100 Days of Prep and 100 Days Left (Year 6)
Foundation students recently celebrated a very exciting milestone - 100 Days of Prep! We had a fantastic day filled with laughter, learning and celebration. Students came dressed up as 100-year-olds or wearing something with 100 pieces! They transformed themselves into 100-year-olds by creating hilarious self-portraits, complete with fluffy cotton ball hair, and loved seeing everyone's creative ideas come to life. We enjoyed a special party with lots of delicious treats and spent time reflecting on just how much we have learned and grown over the past 100 days. One of the highlights of the day was receiving our 100 Days of Prep certificates in front of our Grade 6 buddies, who proudly celebrated this achievement alongside us. It was a wonderful way to recognise all the hard work, resilience and friendships that have made our first 100 days of school so memorable. Here's to many more exciting learning adventures ahead!
While our Preps celebrated their 100 Days of Prep, our Year 6 students recently marked a very different milestone—100 days left of primary school!
To celebrate, students had the opportunity to dress up as either what they aspire to be in the future or as themselves at 100 years old, resulting in plenty of creativity, laughter and fun. They also enjoyed a range of games and activities before designing and decorating a special graduation T-shirt, featuring memories and highlights from their primary school years.
It was a wonderful occasion for our Year 6 students to reflect on how far they have come as they begin the countdown to graduation, while our youngest students prepare to celebrate their own exciting milestone of 100 days of learning and growing at school.
Book Bonanza
This term the SRC has launched the 2026 Heany Park PS Book Bonanza Reading Challenge, encouraging all students and teachers to develop their love of reading over a seven-week period. Students from Foundation to Year 6 have been given age-appropriate reading challenges and recording sheets to track the books they read throughout the challenge (Monday 20th July to Monday 7th September). Teachers are also participating by reading five novels this year!
Students who complete the challenge and return their signed recording sheet by the closing date will receive a certificate and bookmark, with all successful participants also going into the draw to win one of three major prizes (x3 $30 Book Club vouchers).
School Disco
Come along and have some fun!
Bakers Delight Fundraiser
A huge thank you to our wonderful Events Committee for organising the Bakers Delight Lunch, and to the parents who generously volunteered their time to assist with the preparation and organisation on the day. Your enthusiasm, teamwork and support helped make the event a fantastic success. We are thrilled to share that, together, we raised $693.70! Every dollar raised will go towards supporting our students and enhancing programs and opportunities across our school. Thank you for your continued generosity and commitment to our school community.

Excursion and Incursion: Friendly Reminder
Friendly Reminder: All events must be consented to and paid for by the advertised closing date.
When permissions and payments are received after the cut-off date, it can make planning more difficult. This includes organising parent helpers to meet supervision ratios, finalising sporting teams, and confirming participant numbers with venues. It can also be challenging on the day of the event when we are unsure whether a student is attending.
To support families, all school events are published on Compass with a minimum of two weeks' notice, providing plenty of time to complete consent and payment requirements.
We kindly ask parents and carers to ensure consent and payment are completed by the due date. This helps us plan effectively and avoids students being disappointed if they are unable to attend due to outstanding permissions or payments.
If you have any concerns, please reach out to the office staff or come and chat with me.
Curriculum Day 10 September: Reminder
We would like to advise families that our next Curriculum Day for the year will be held on Thursday 10 September. This will be a student-free day.
OSHC will be available for families who require care for their child/ren on this day. Further information regarding bookings will be provided directly by the service.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we invest in the ongoing improvement of our school.
